It’s Real Easter Basket Grass!
What could be more fun and Earth friendly than growing your own Easter basket grass?!?! Easter is ten days away, but you still have time to do this fun project with your kids!
- Easter basket
- Plastic liner, container, or pot that fits inside your Easter basket
- Potting soil
- Grass seed
Take your Easter basket and line it with plastic or put some sort of container or pot inside the basket.
Fill your basket or container with 1″- 2″ of soil.
Sprinkle grass seed on top of the soil and lightly rake dirt over the grass seed (don’t cover the seed with more than 1/4″ of dirt).
Mist the soil and place the basket in warm place with some sunlight. Keep the soil moist and your grass will start growing in a couple of days.
If the grass gets too long, you can trim it with gardening sheers.
And that is how you can grow your own Easter basket grass! It’s a fun and easy way to bring a bit of nature indoors this Easter! Do you have any special crafts, projects, or plans for Easter?
